Troy Barolet

Troy lends over 20 years of management and leadership experience with diverse companies and organizations to Just Giants Rescue. He's worked with K-9 military police dogs while in service with the US Navy, and has a long history with giant breed pets. As a veteran, he has a particular interest in Veterans suffering with debilitating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and the life changes made through companionship with animals. He is excited in the opportunities that JGRI brings to these beautiful dogs, wonderful people and their loving connected futures.

Shane Hornbeck

A native of Illinois, Shane has a great love for Big Dogs because he can honestly relate to them. He fell in love with the meaning of service when he was only a teenager with Boy Scouts of America. Inspired at this young age with multiple leadership and service opportunities, Shane quickly developed a deep sense of integrity. This resolve stuck with him through college and into volunteering with the U. S. Marines, leading him to offering his experiences to others in need at all levels of non-profit organizations. Shane provides support to Just Giants Rescue, as the Treasurer, with several years of non-for profit experience and his leadership skills as a Vet. Shane aspires to be a servant leader. Integrity has been described as something you cannot see until it is not there. Servanthood is similar. “Servant leadership is a philosophy and set of practices that enriches the lives of individuals, builds better organizations and ultimately creates a more just and caring world.” – Robert K. Greenleaf  "The ability to empower others makes great leadership a servanthood" -Bennett Sims
